Lesson Plan: Week 14- November 15th-19th

Lesson title: Basic Canine Nutrition
Description: The family dog should eat foods different from what humans eat, because a canine requires special nutrients and diets. With this presentation, explore the basics of canine nutrition. Discover the essential nutrients a canine needs. Learn the ways dogs can receive these specific nutrients by becoming familiar with the different types of dog foods and special diets canines should follow.

Goal: To gain basic understanding of animal rights vs. animal welfare and laws put into place to
protect animals.
Description: Information on different types of animals and their classifications, animal rights
founders, groups, animal welfare groups and laws put into place to protect animals are provided in
this presentation. Students will also learn to understand the difference between animal rights and
animal welfare and the different laws which have been created to protect animals.
